Painting Vinyl Windows

Though window manufacturers often advise against painting vinyl windows, many homeowners are opting to painting as a cheaper way of to modernizing the look of their windows.

The problem with painting vinyl is in the paint’s ability to “grab” the material. Where as wood is porous with high adherence, vinyl doesn’t have this quality. Because of this it is important to use Extreme Bond Primer by Sherwin-Williams (or something similar) when painting vinyl windows.
